From the Foreword
“The problem is rarely a shortage of effort. It is a shortage of clarity about what deserves the limited hours we have on any given day. That is the question Dr. Thomas takes on, and he answers it more honestly than most.”

What is the difference between the two books?

Focus: The Missing Factor; A Practical Guide to Accomplishing Your Goals starts with a question most people never ask honestly: if you have the intelligence, the talent, and the resources, why are your goals still waiting? Dr. Thomas’s answer is that what most people lack is not ability or opportunity. It is focus. The book shows readers what to build within themselves to gain focus and keep it when resistance, distraction, and setbacks arrive. Whether the goal is better health, stronger finances, a degree, or a lifelong dream, it challenges readers to stop letting circumstances define them and to stay the course until the goal is reached.

Nearly two decades after Focus: The Missing Factor, FOCUS 2.0: The Time Factor: A Practical Guide to Making Your 168 Hours Count takes on the one resource that decides everything else. Money can be earned back. Time cannot. Every yes spends hours you will never see again, and most people pay that price without ever counting the cost. Grounded in project management principles, the FOCUS Method shows leaders, executives, entrepreneurs, and anyone pursuing a goal how to stop wondering where the week went and start deciding where it goes. Everyone gets the same 168 hours a week. This book answers why some people accomplish so much more with theirs, and how you can too.
